Catching sight of the police car, the van hastily went into reverse and crashed to the car behind it. A police officer pulled out a pistol and verbally warned the driver to stop, before shooting the front tire of the van, successfully stopping it and catching the man. It was discovered that the driver was an oil thief who has been stealing oil from trucks stopping at the tollgate for some time.

Blast reported at north China hotel, two injured<br/>At least two people were hospitalized after a blast at a hotel in Chengde, in north China’s Hebei Province on Friday.
Firemen and police arrived at the scene and an initial investigation showed the blast was caused by a pipeline leak.
Sina Weibo user @Naogoulemeiyouxixi posted photos showing shattered windows of a bus that was passing by the hotel when the explosion occurred.
