Судя по первоначальному пролому, который затянулся 5-ти сантиметровым льдом, лосиха пробыла в воде не меньше 20 часов. После 20-ти минут растираний, лосиха подала надежду на выживание. 1,5 часа продолжалось спасательная операция.
