Prompt action from police help drivers escape road collapse<br/>It looks like a scene from a movie – a roadway crumbled in minutes, creating a 2-meter-deep hole. But this was in fact the scene from the downtown district of Hangzhou, provincial capital of eastern China’s Zhejiang Province, where a large portion of a crossroad collapsed on Thursday. Fortunately, just minutes ahead the collapse, a local traffic police, who was patrolling at that time, spotted cracks on the road and immediately used conical barrels to fence the area and regulated the traffic to avoid any incident. Further investigation over the collapse is currently underway.
